so far, so good …Ferrari racing director Mauro Forghieri, John Surtees & team manager Eugenio Dragoni during the 1964 Austrian Grand Prix, held at the Zeltweg airfield trackeverything went well that year with Surtees winning the drivers’ title & Ferrari winning the manufacturers’ cupbut by 1966 relations would worsen & after a falling out between Surtees & Dragoni after the Monaco Grand Prix Surtees left the Italian teamin 1967 Ferrari would fire Dragoni it was also to be the only official Grand Prix held on the airfield track, the drivers & public complained about the track, so the FIA banned it from further Grand Prix racing until a suitable new track was build … that track was to be the infamous Österreichring, first used for F1 racing in 1970
