this would be Gendebien’s fist Le Mans victory, he would go on to become the first record holder of 4 overall victories, winning in ‘58, ‘60, ‘61 & ‘62in ‘60 Gendebien would win Le Mans in a complete Belgian outfit, teamed up with famous car journalist Paul Frèreit was also a time of utter Ferrari dominance, the Italians would win 6 races in a row from ‘60 upto ‘65which would also be the last time a Ferrari would & could win Le Mans
