Kenny Roberts (4, Marlboro Agostini-Yamaha YZR500) & Freddie Spencer (3, HRC-Honda NS500) took every Grand Prix during the 1983 season between them, they only left crums for the competition
eventually Spencer came out on top with only 2 points over Roberts, they both took 6 wins, completely dominating the 500cc field
