Neil Hodgson started his career in World Superbike with a much sought after ride in the factory Ducati team, next to John Kocinski
it was quite a bad year however, only scoring 1 podium, in Laguna Seca
he stayed on in World Superbike in the next years, but moved to Kawasaki, without any good results either
after a period in British Superbike, where he got the title in 2000, he returned to World Superbike with GSE Racing (the team for whom he raced in BSB)
then, in 2003, he finally got a new shot with the factory Ducati team & he didn’t disappoint, Hodgson got the title, 7 years after his first desastrous year
