Lotus would compete with the cars in various versions (ranging from the original 72 upto the 72F) from 1970 until 1975 taking 3 constructors titles, 2 drivers titles & 20 Grand Prix victories
the 72 modernised F1 even more than its predecessor, the 49 & was the first car to look more or less like a modern day F1 car
